Fascinating insights offered in new Lecture series in Bethesda
From zombies in the Mabinogi to Welsh on Facebook; from child psychology to the literature of the London Welsh and from Italian cinema to the depths surrounding the Titanic, some of 91精品黑料吃瓜鈥檚 most talented lecturers will be visiting Neuadd Ogwen in Bethesda over the next six weeks to discuss a wide range of topics.
Cyfres 6 is a new series of Welsh medium public lectures that provide a glimpse into a variety of topics under the guidance of lecturers who are nationally renowned for their expertise.
Dr Aled Llion Jones of the School of Welsh opens the series on November 6th when he discusses Irish Zombies, the pigs of the Apocalypse and other problems facing the Welsh of the 鈥楳abinogi鈥�: you can see that these are no ordinary lectures! The use of Welsh on Facebook and other social media is discussed in the second lecture by Dr Cynog Prys from the School of Social Sciences. The series continues with weekly lectures on child psychology, Italian cinema, the history of court cases relating to the sinking of the Titanic, and the last lecture will discuss the literature of the London Welsh.
Rhodri Evans, Project Officer at, Pro Vice Chancellor Professor Jerry Hunter鈥檚 Office and organiser of the new series said:
鈥淭he aim is to create a series of public lectures which will appeal to a variety of audiences, taking advantage of the exciting new Centre at Neuadd Ogwen on Bethesda High Street.
The University shares a historic link with the Ogwen Valley region and the hope is that this series will continue and extend this connection.鈥�
