Do I have to provide proof of my academic qualifications?
New students who have been requested to provide certification of their academic qualifications (this will have been specified in your formal offer of admission letter) for verification purposes will be expected to produce original certificates (or authenticated copies) for inspection during scheduled ID checking events if you are full-time student studying on the Bangor campus. For part-time or distance learning students the most convenient way would be either for you to send an authenticated copy of your Degree certificate certified and stamped as a true copy of the original by the Registrar at the University from which you graduated or another government/legal official, or an official transcript issued by the University. These should be sent to the Student Administration Office, 1st Floor Main Arts Building, College Road, Bangor LL57 2DG. Please do not send your original degree certificate through the post. Please note that unauthenticated photocopies of certificates are not acceptable. Certified translations are required where the original documentation is not in either English or Welsh.
If you are not able to produce proof of your qualifications you may not be permitted to complete the enrolment process.
If you are a continuing student and have still not provided proof of your qualifications, you should note that it is a condition of your enrolment that you satisfy the University's matriculation requirement and that failure to so may result in the termination of your registration and in the withholding of your final certificate. The most convenient way would be either for you to send an authenticated copy of your Degree certificate certified and stamped as a true copy of the original by the Registrar at the University from which you graduated or another government/legal official, an official transcript issued by the University or you can bring the original certificate in to the Student Administration Office, 1st Floor Main Arts Building, College Road, Bangor LL57 2DG for verification.聽 Please do not send your original degree certificate through the post. 聽
