Welcome Week offers a variety of activities and events to help you settle into university life, make new friends, and get to know the campus. The School will also host compulsory, programme-specific sessions designed to:
- Provide essential academic information
- Introduce you to key staff and fellow students
- Outline what to expect from your course
Please note: All compulsory events apply to students across all three Medicine programmes (Medicine, Medicine with Gateway Year, and Graduate Entry Medicine). Where a session is specific to a particular stream or group, this will be clearly indicated in the schedule. Please read the timetable carefully and pay attention to these details. The schedule is subject to change, so please check back regularly for updates.

Compulsory Events (red block) cover crucial information and procedures you'll need to navigate your academic journey.

Recommended Events (yellow block) offer opportunities to meet fellow students and University staff, or gain additional information and support on enhancing your student experience.

Social Events (with picture) are the perfect way to make friends, discover new passions, and create lasting memories during your first week at university.

International Support Events (grey block) are designed to help new international students adjust to their new surroundings and connect with resources and peers.
