The examination timetable will show the date and start time of the examinations.

• In most cases, your PLSP exam adjustments will automatically be applied.
• On Friday 02/05/2025, your calendars on MyBangor will be populated with the end time and the location for your individual exams.
• For students who require complex exam adjustments (e.g. Support worker / Braille) we will contact you individually to make final arrangements. Please look out for an email from Disability Services.
• Yellow slip arrangements will not change – see Marking Considerations (Yellow Slip) below.
• Students in Health Sciences: please contact your School for exam adjustments.

After Friday 02/05/2025,  if you are unclear about your exam arrangements please contact Disability Services as soon as possible on disabilityservice@bangor.ac.uk or 01248 382032.

If you wish to discuss your arrangements with a member of staff from the Examinations Office, please email examinations@bangor.ac.uk.

This format of exam has been designed to be inclusive, and so many individual adjustments (e.g. extra time, use of computer, exam support room etc.), are not necessary. If you usually have extra time and / or rest breaks, please take these during the ‘open’ period as required.

If you feel that the new format of these assessments is not accessible to you, please contact Disability Services to discuss this as soon as possible.

Good practice for this format of assessment:

• Prepare as you would for a standard exam.
• If you have IT / connectivity issues, please contact the IT Services Helpdesk; they can help resolve issues remotely (email from your Uni email address if possible, and include a contact telephone number).
• If IT issues cannot be resolved, you will be able to request a First Sit or Alternative Arrangements – see below.
• Decide what time you will stop for the day to ensure that you get adequate rest.
• Don’t leave it until the last minute to submit the work, in case of technical / connectivity difficulties on the day. Consider submitting in the evening (even though the deadline will be 8.59am), as this could allow better rest overnight.

This could be for a range of reasons, including internet connectivity / technical issues, illness, and self-isolation. If you are unable to complete the exam at the time it is scheduled, please use the to ask for a First Sit or Alternative Arrangements. If you are unable to access the Request Centre, call 01248 388400 during weekdays 10-12 and 2-4 so that staff can help you.

91¾«Æ·ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï students with a Specific Learning Difference (SpLD), who are registered with Disability Services and have a Personal Learning Support Plan in place, are offered the reasonable adjustment of a yellow slip. The yellow slip means that coursework and examinations will be marked according to content and ideas, and marks will not be deducted for spelling and structure, unless these form part of the marking criteria / learning outcomes.

Online Exams

Please remember to copy and paste a yellow slip into each exam script before you submit (you can find your yellow slip in your : if you are unsure how to do this, please see for further guidance).

To access the electronic yellow slip:

• Go to your page.
• Right click on the yellow slip image.
• Right click on the copy image.
• Paste image into a word document.
• Alternatively, the image can be dragged from the PLSP page straight into a word document.

In Person On Campus Exams

Students who are completing in person on campus examinations will complete an answer book as normal. A paper yellow slip (that will need to be collected from Main Reception, Ground Floor, Neuadd Rathbone, College Road) will need to be inserted into the booklet.

For those undertaking assessment on a computer, you will need to follow the same procedure as the Online Exams section above – and copy and paste your yellow slip at the front of your examination.
